Queensland Branch meeting (non-members welcome as always)

    • When: 20 August, 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM

    • Where: QUT Gardens Point, P-block room P638

The unprecedented use of digital platforms and technologies, coupled with the emergence and growth of ‘big social data’ on digital media consumption and communication, have enabled ground-breaking research approaches that support the unobtrusive observation of large-scale, population-wide activity patterns in society.

Researchers from diverse disciplines are increasingly considering data from digital platforms such as Twitter to enhance and innovate in their research. To support these researchers, QUT has created the Digital Observatory, a state-of-the-art infrastructure for tracking, collecting and analysing digital media data.

We would like to invite interested researchers to attend our Digital Observatory Workshop, where we will demonstrate our capabilities and show how we can support you in your research endeavours. We look forward to meeting you.
