Speaker: Rory Chen
Rory Chen is a health data scientist specialising in data infrastructure for dementia research. She leads CHeBA’s Dementias Platform Australia (DPAU), advancing FAIR data principles to make research more Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable.
Proficient in R, Python, SAS, SQL, and REDCap, with experience in AWS, Rory designs scalable, reproducible data workflows and manages the DPAU team using agile methods. She is active in R-Ladies Sydney and the UNSW CodeRs Committee.
With over nine years’ experience in academia and public health, she has worked at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre (NDARC) and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) previously.
