SSA's South Australia Branch is proud to present an in-person workshop: Everything That You Should Know About Quarto, But Did Not Know You Should Ask.

This course is intended for those with intermediate R skills who want to learn more advanced code for creating good presentations in R. Course content will include:

- quarto for reproducible reports and webpages

- using gt to get good tables

- more advanced ggplot

- combining plots with patchwork

- adding maths

- interactive plots.

Participants will be expected to bring their own laptops with a recent version of RStudio installed. They should know how to do basic statistics in R and create simple plots in ggplot.

After the workshop, attendees should be able to:

- Create advanced plots, including creating combined and interactive plots

- Summarise statistics in tables

- Use R code embedded in quarto to create reproducible content for documents and webpages

Bio: Dr Jono Tuke started his career as a veterinarian. After 12 years, he headed back to university to study maths and ended up with a PhD in statistics. He now lectures in statistics at the University of Adelaide and strongly believes that everyone should know stats.

Cancellation Policy:

Occasionally courses have to be cancelled due to a lack of subscription. Early registration ensures that this will not happen.

Cancellations received prior to two weeks before the event will be refunded, minus a $25 administration fee. From then on, no part of the registration fee will be refunded. However, registrations are transferable within the same organisation. Please advise any changes to events@statsoc.org.au.
