We have an incredible panel of SSA members lined up to share their diverse perspective and experience of life as a statistician and their involvement with the SSA.

Panel:
Jessica Kasza, Andrew Vanburgel, Lynne Giles, Nan Zou


Jessica Kasza is an Associate Professor in Biostatistics in the School of Public Health and Preventative Medicine at Monash University, where she leads the development of statistical methodology for longitudinal cluster randomised trials. She is the current President of the SSA.

Andrew Vanburgel is a Applied Statistician at the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development. He provides statistical expertise on a range of agricultural projects, from design of experiments to methods of analysis and interpretation of data.

Lynne Giles is an Associate Professor in Biostatistics in the School of Public Health at the University of Adelaide. Her research interests are centred on the application of contemporary statistical techniques to life course data.

Nan Zou is a Lecturer in Statistics in the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at Macquarie University. His research interests include empirical processes, time series analysis and extreme value theory.

Rheanna Mainzer (chair) is a post-doctoral Biostatistician at the Murdoch Children’s Research nstitute and the Vice President of Membership for the SSA. Her current research focuses on methods for handling missing data.
