• Part time 2 days per week, fixed term until August 2024

• Base Salary $110,856 - $156,579 + 17% superannuation a competitive remuneration package including 17% superannuation.

JWCRR is part of Kolling Institute, a joint venture of Northern Sydney Local Health District and University of Sydney located at Royal North Shore Hospital.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Undertake relevant statistical work within the John Walsh Centre for Rehabilitation Research,

• contribute to methodological aspects of study design, particularly the analytical component of JWCRR research,

• supervise and provide education for students and health professionals in the area of biostatistics, injury related disability and allied topics,

• support multiple projects including clinical trials and cohort studies. There will be an emphasis on translational research to develop materials that support changes to clinical and public health practice as it applies to injury recovery, rehabilitation and disability.
  
  

About you:

• PhD in in statistics or biostatistics or epidemiology

• demonstrated skills in applying advanced statistical analysis methods (e.g., multivariate modelling including GEE and related techniques), and other relevant software packages (e.g., SAS, STATA or SPSS or equivalent).

• demonstrated skills in data management of large epidemiological and population health data, and clinical and public health intervention data / program evaluation data.

• experience in multivariate modelling relevant to clinical and public health, and experience in calculating complex sample sizes and related issues in clinical and population health studies.

• experience in academic publications and writing funding grants for research.
