The aim of the Young Statisticians’ Network, an Australia-wide group, is to give early career statisticians and students studying statistics the opportunity to meet their peers. It provides a venue for the discussion and sharing of statistical work as well as career and academic guidance. Each state runs programs throughout the year, and a special Young Statisticians Conference is held every two years.

SSAI offers a professional accreditation scheme, only available to its members. The Accredited Statistician (AStat) qualification indicates to the non-statistical community that its holder has achieved an acceptable level of professional competence in the area of statistics. For statisticians at an earlier stage in their career the Graduate Statistician (GStat) scheme is available. To find an accredited statistician/consultant, please click here.
