Title: Vector regression without specifying marginal distributions or association structures
Abstract: We discuss a flexible yet parsimonious framework for vector regression based on nonparametric multivariate exponential families. The key feature is that the underlying exponential family can be left completely unspecified in the model and can be estimated nonparametrically from data along with the usual regression coefficients.
Its usefulness in practice is demonstrated on various data analysis examples, and in particular for GDP and Fertility rates from UN data and a Sorbinil eye trial dataset
Biography: Dr Huang is originally from Sydney, where he also did his undergraduate degree at the Uni of Sydney. He worked at the Australian Bureau of Statistics in Canberra before getting a PhD from the University of Chicago. He is currently a Lecturer in Statistics at the University of Queensland.
