We are very excited to reveal the first issue of Inferential Interests, where we delve into data science and statistics matters for the Early Career and Student Statisticians Network community. Our aim is to provide a magazine for our readers and our community – a magazine that reflects the conversations we are having, the questions we are asking, the programs we are using… and to have a little fun :). Over the coming issues we are interviewing the keynote speakers of the ECSSC, other leading researchers and members of our own committee – first up is Peter Taylor (Director of ACEMS), Irma Mooi-Reci (Assoc Prof at Uni of Melbourne) and our own network member Cedric Wong (Statistician at the ABS).
