Meetings

The branch holds monthly meetings where local and visiting statisticians present seminars covering aspects of their work. Meetings commence at 6:00 pm and are usually held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in Blakers Lecture Theatre at The University of Western Australia (UWA), although these may vary (members are advised of the exact details of each meeting via email).  As of the start of 2011, members and guests are invited to meet over wine and cheese from 5:30 pm in the Monadelphous Integrated Learning Centre (MILC) (we no longer use the School of Mathematics and Statistics Common Room).  Following the seminar(s), members and guests are welcome to adjourn with the speaker to a nearby restaurant for dinner. The meetings thus provide an excellent opportunity to meet other statisticians both socially and professionally.

Visitors are welcome at all regular meetings.
