11th Annual J. B. Douglas Postgraduate Awards (November) - Each year the NSW Branch opens up the floor giving postgraduate students from NSW universities the opportunity to present their research. After the talks, prizes will be awarded for the best speakers, followed by a guest speaker and the annual dinner.

The registration deadline to attend this year's WA Young Statisticians Workshop is Tuesday 13 September 2011. The workshop is being held on Tuesday 27th September at Tompkins Function Centre in Applecross. Further information is available here and the registration form can be accessed here.

Every year a scholarship of $800 (or two scholarships of $400) are available to outstanding students enrolled in an honours degree. Please see our branch website for more information.
The SSAI WA Branch monthly meeting in May is a Young Statisticians meeting, with two talks presented by our members. This meeting is also when the honours scholarship recipient(s) are announced. We also have a branch Young Statisticians conference every 2 years; information will be posted to the branch website when it becomes available.
