Gordon was formerly at the Centre for Statistics, Department of Mathematics, University of Queensland and is now Senior Research Scientist in Bioinformatics at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Melbourne.
Gordon Smyth's Statistical Science Web, also provides links to careers, societies, conferences, statistics departments, mailing lists, courses, data sets, statistical computing, research funding, and a whole lot more.
Acknowledgments
Dr Gordon Smyth, formerly of the Centre for Statistics, Department of Mathematics, University of Queensland and now at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, Melbourne, originally set up the Queensland Branch web pages. Gordon's personal page has many links of interest to statisticians, including the excellent Statistical Science Web page.
The SSAQLD and ANZSTAT Mailing Lists were established by Dr Rodney Wolff. Both lists now run under the auspices of Department of Mathematics, University of Queensland.
Roger Sidje and Gordon Smyth, University of Queensland, assisted with perl code.
These pages were kindly hosted by The School of Mathematical Sciences, QUT until early 2006. Neil Cameron, QUT, generously provided assistance with web adminstration and related matters.
