Here is a summary of the responses from the participants of the YSC2017 as part of the Future Think seminar. The aim of the session was to prompt thinking about what our world and our profession will look like in 10 years’ time. Often this question is posed and deliberated on by ‘old people’, but it’s the young people who will live it, and although they are often told that they are ‘the future’, they are not often asked directly what that future will look like.
I opened with a potted history of inventions that have changed our life and our profession, then discussed briefly the concepts of disruption and innovation. We then broke into age cohorts and completed the tables attached.
