Bayes on the Beach is a biennial conference held in Australia, organised by the Bayesian Research & Applications Group (BRAG) in collaboration with ARC Centre of Excellence for Mathematical & Statistical Frontiers (ACEMS); the Australasian chapter of the International Society for Bayesian Analysis (ISBA); the Statistical Society of Australia, (SSA) Bayesian Statistics Section; and Queensland University of Technology (QUT). This meeting has been held for almost 13 years and is a small gathering of Bayesians drawn from across Australia and around the world.
The meeting provides an opportunity for Australian and international researchers to present and discuss the most recent research developments in Bayesian statistics. In this meeting, delegates are encouraged to make contacts with experienced researchers including internationally well-known keynote speakers. The interactive workshops and tutorials aim to discuss and resolve open problems using Bayesian methods by working in groups. The invited presentations contain a series of interesting and recent research topics related to Bayesian methodology. During the poster sessions, the presenters have the chance to discuss their research with other delegates in a relaxing environment.

The registration fee is as follows:
- Members of ISBA or SSA: $ 250
- Non-members of ISBA or SSA: $ 290
- Student Members of SSA: $ 120
- Non-member Students of SSA: $ 150*
* Please note students may become members of SSA for a fee of only $20. Further details of SSA membership can be found here.
The registration fee includes the following: attendance at the conference, conference materials, morning and afternoon tea as well as lunch.
The registration fee does not cover: transport to and from the Gold Coast, other meals, accommodation, refreshments at the evening poster sessions (cash bar) and any other participant expenses.

Cancellation and refund policy
Cancellations received prior to 3rd November 2017 will be refunded in full. Confirmation of the refund having been processed will be emailed. Should additional documentation pertaining to the refund be required, a $20 administration fee will be charged. After Monday 6th November no part of the registration fee will be refunded. However, registrations are transferable within the same organisation. Please advise any changes to [email protected].
