KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

In keeping with other years, there will be three keynote speakers:

  1. Professor Louise Ryan, University of Technology Sydney (UTS)
  2. Professor Judith Rousseau, Universite Paris Dauphine, France
  3. Professor Peter Green, Bristol University UK, and UTS

Professor Louise Ryan has had a sensational career as Henry Pickering Walcott Professor and Chair of the Department of Biostatistics at Harvard, Chief at CSIRO’s Division of Mathematics, Informatics and Statistics, and now as Distinguished Professor of Statistics at UTS. Louise is a member of the Australian Academy of Science and Editor in Chief of Statistics in Medicine. She is well known for her methodological contributions to statistical methods for cancer and environmental health research.

Professor Judith Rousseau is a statistician who has broad interests across Bayesian statistics, the interaction between Bayesian and frequentist approaches, mixture distributions and MCMC algorithms. Her foci in Bayesian statistics are on default Bayesian analysis, nonparametric Bayesian statistics, Bayesian testing, frequentist properties of Bayesian methods and asymptotic analysis. She is currently Associate Editor for the Annals of Statistics, ANZJS and Bernoulli, and holds executive positions in ISBA, IMS and SMAI. Judith has established links with Australia through research collaboration and co-supervision of PhD students.

Professor Peter Green is Emeritus Professor and Professorial Research Fellow at the University of Bristol, and a Distinguished Professor at the University of Technology, Sydney. He is one of the world’s best-known Bayesian statisticians, with interests in Bayesian inference in complex stochastic systems, Markov chain Monte Carlo methodology, forensic genetics, Bayesian nonparametrics and graphical models. Peter is also currently Editor of Statistical Science.

INVITED AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Participants are invited to submit applications for oral invited presentations (10 places only) and poster presentations.

Closing date for submission for oral and poster presentations:
