From the website of the Australian Bureau of Statistics:
“The Australian Census will be held on August 9. It’s a moment for everyone to pause, and play a role in shaping the future of Australia.
More than 15 million people are expected to complete the Census online. Completing the Census online is fast, easy, secure, and environmentally friendly and also reduces the cost of the Census to the community. Paper forms will still be available.
From August 1, households will receive a letter with a unique Census Login. Every household must use it to complete the Census online, or follow the directions to order a paper form. In some locations, households will receive a paper form upfront, with the option to complete it online.
Keep an eye out for your household letter or paper form in the mail; you will need them to complete the Census on August 9.
You can request a paper form by calling 1300 820 275. It’s open 24 hours a day. Just make sure you have your Census letter and enter the 12-digit Login number in the middle of the letter.”
