Environmental Statistics Section

The Environmental Statistics section is a new section of the Statistical Society of Australia. It attempts to capture the work of Statisticians working in the environmental and natural resource management application areas, namely: fishery stock assessment, bycatch risk assessment and risk assessment in general, models for abundance and detection, water quality monitoring and assessment, sparse sampling and ecotoxicology.

The purpose of the new section is to foster closer links between statisticians in Australasia that collaborate with environmental scientists.
